Summer travel by vehicle can mean unexpected delays due to weather, construction, and accidents.
To help you keep your vehicle organized and ready for travel, fill a container with:
- Car charger for the phone
- A first aid kit
- Wipes
- Water
- Non-perishable food
- Extra tissues (maybe a roll of toilet paper or paper towels)
- Extra plastic bags for kid or pet accidents
- Flashlight
- Maps
You may want to have some items such as iPods, books or activity items for those times when traffic is at a standstill.

- Directions to frequent destinations
- Garbage container – Every time you fill the car with gas or, if possible, every time you leave the vehicle, take your garbage with you, so it never fills up.
